How Our Tools Work
ZeroStress tools are designed to make a practical situation easier to organise. They use transparent arithmetic, rule-based logic or categories selected by the person using the tool.
They do not use hidden psychological scoring, and they do not attempt to diagnose a condition.
Calculators
Calculators use the numbers you enter. The relevant tool page explains the formula when the formula affects how a result should be read.
For example, the Workload Check starts with available time, subtracts fixed commitments and a buffer, then compares the remaining usable time with planned task hours.
An estimate remains an estimate. If you enter an optimistic task duration, the result will reflect that optimistic duration. ZeroStress does not add false precision to uncertain inputs.
Ranking and comparison tools
Some tools use weighted scores to put several options into a consistent order.
The Priority Picker, for example, gives more weight to deadline pressure and the consequence of delay than to some other factors. The formula appears on the tool page. A higher score does not prove that a task is objectively more valuable. It means that the ratings you entered produce a stronger case for earlier attention under that formula.
The Decision Helper works in a similar way. You choose the factors, set their importance and rate the available options. The result organises your own judgement rather than replacing it.
Sorting tools
Tools such as Brain Dump, Overwhelm Sorter and What Can I Control? depend mostly on your classification choices.
These tools do not infer private meaning from your text. They give you a structure for deciding what belongs in each group.
Self-reflection quizzes
ZeroStress quizzes are descriptive self-reflection tools. They are not validated psychological assessments.
A quiz result indicates which answer pattern was strongest among the questions presented. It does not tell you that you have anxiety, burnout, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression or another condition.
Privacy of tool inputs
The main planning tools run in your browser. Text entered into those tools is not submitted to ZeroStress merely to calculate a result.
The contact form is different because sending a message requires information to reach the server. The Privacy Policy explains that separately.
What the tools cannot know
A browser tool cannot understand every consequence, relationship, health issue, workplace constraint or personal obligation surrounding a decision.
Use the output as a way to organise your own information. Important medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional decisions require appropriate qualified advice.
If a tool behaves incorrectly or its explanation does not match the result, please report the problem.
