Make a Decision
Decision Helper
Compare up to three options against factors that matter to you using transparent weighted scoring.
Use this when two or three options need to be compared against several factors that matter to you.
How this tool works
You set the importance of each factor from 1–5 and rate each option from 1–5 against that factor. Weighted score = sum of factor importance × option rating.
How to read the result
The highest score reflects the priorities and ratings you entered. The tool cannot determine whether an option is objectively right.
Example
When comparing two suppliers, you might weight reliability at 5, cost at 4 and flexibility at 3. The result shows which option best matches those stated priorities, rather than pretending every factor matters equally.
What to watch for
- Avoid duplicate factors such as “price” and “cost” unless they genuinely represent different concerns.
- If you dislike the winning result, inspect what important factor may be missing instead of forcing yourself to accept the score.
Privacy
Your entries are processed in your browser by this tool. They are not submitted to ZeroStress or stored on our server.
Limitations
Use the result as a planning aid. ZeroStress tools do not diagnose stress, anxiety, burnout or any other medical or psychological condition. Financial tools provide arithmetic and scenario comparisons rather than personal financial advice. Important medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional decisions require appropriate professional advice.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use this to decide whether to quit a job or end a relationship?
You can use it to organise factors, but major personal decisions can involve consequences a simple score cannot represent. Treat the output as one input, not a verdict.
