Understand Your Workload
Meeting Load Calculator
Calculate the weekly time consumed by meetings, preparation and follow-up.
Use this to see the full weekly time cost of recurring meetings rather than counting meeting duration alone.
How this tool works
Weekly meeting load = meeting count × (average meeting minutes + preparation minutes + follow-up minutes). The result is also shown as a percentage of the working hours you enter.
How to read the result
This is a time-allocation calculation. It does not judge whether meetings are useful or whether they should be removed.
Example
Six 40-minute meetings with 10 minutes of preparation and 10 minutes of follow-up each consume six hours, even though the calendar itself shows only four hours of meeting time.
What to watch for
- Use separate calculations for very different meeting types if one average would be misleading.
- Do not assume a high meeting load is automatically bad. Some roles are legitimately meeting-heavy.

Limitations
Use the result as a planning aid. ZeroStress tools do not diagnose stress, anxiety, burnout or any other medical or psychological condition. Important medical, legal, financial, safety or other professional decisions require appropriate professional advice.
Frequently asked questions
Why include preparation and follow-up?
Because those activities consume working capacity even when they are not visible in the calendar event itself.
